Serving Puerto Rican specialities in Hartford for 33 years, Comerio is a family-owned business. Comerio serves up traditional Puerto Rican cuisine, offering roasted pork, accompanied by rice and beans. A full range of family-style meals are offered, including traditional breakfasts of eggs, bacon and fries. Comerio also serves soups, such as tripe stew with root vegetables in a tomato base.
"We have continually run the same business for 34 years," says Comerio owner Luis Rodriguez. After taking over the business from his parents eight years ago, Rodriguez still sticks with the basics and uses all original recipes to create his Puerto Rican specialties. "Just come in and try it," he says. "You get the true feel and taste of Puerto Rico without the language barrier."
Comerio is located at 158 Park Place, Hartford. Phone 860-246-0210. This restaurant is open from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., seven days a week.
